Obituary for
Andrew J. Mahoney
Andrew Jack Mahoney, 5, of North Grafton died in a tragic accident on Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was a kindergarten student at North Grafton Elementary School.
Andrew was the youngest of 3 children, the "baby" of the family. He was a precious son and brother to his parents, Patrick and Gina, and to his sisters Emilia (11) and Lila (8).
Andrew loved playing with his family and friends. Some of his favorite activities consisted of playing soccer and tee ball, as well as doing puzzles and playing games on his Wii. Andrew especially loved super heroes and spent much time role playing as Spider-Man or the Hulk.
Although kindergarten was still brand new to him, Andrew embraced it without hesitation. With the help of his nurturing teachers, Andrew was learning to write and to read simple stories. He was extremely proud of himself, as we all were, and always will be.
In addition to his immediate family, Andrew is survived by his maternal grandparents, Peter and Marie (Niro) Tosches of Milford, MA and paternal grandmother, Frances (Hanley) Mahoney of Salem, MA; also his great-grandmother, Marie (Fusco) Hanley of Medford, MA, as well as a beloved aunt, Christina Tosches of Milford, MA. During his life he was surrounded also by many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom loved him dearly.
All are welcome to gather with Andrew's family for calling hours on Tuesday, October 4th from 4:00-7:00PM at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. North Grafton, MA 01536.
