Cecelia J. (Podsiadlo) Lucek, 99, passed away Monday October 3, 2016 at St. Francis Home in Worcester surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 64 years, Joseph Lucek passed away in 2015. She leaves her daughter Shirley Pelland and her husband William, son Robert Lucek and his wife Debbie Todd, grandchildren Jeffrey Pelland and his wife Summer, Jo Anne Gallant and her husband Raymond, Laurie Lundell and her husband Neil, Melissa and Torrey Blackwell, and Scott and Adam Lucek, great-grandchildren Cameron and Meadow Gallant, Louis and Julia Lundell, Delaney Pelland and Fox and Memphis Blackwell, her sister Stacia Cadrin and many nieces and nephews. Her siblings Genevieve Graham, Helen Klocek, Victoria Cardin and Walter, Henry and Francis Podsiadlo predeceased her. Cecelia was born March 19, 1917 in Worcester daughter of the late Anna (Wojnar) and Joseph Podsiadlo. Her roots were in Grafton and she was happiest close to home with her husband Joe for most of her life. Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Home in 3 West, especially the Nurse Manager Christine, Ewa, Elizabeth of 3N and nursing assistants David, Sheila, Matt and Consuelo for the kindness and care they showed Cecelia. All are welcome to gather with Cecelia's family Thursday October 6th from 9:30-10:00am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 prior to the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. James Church 89 Main St. S. Grafton, MA 01560. She will then be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton.
