Obituary for Stephen M. Roney

Stephen M. Roney
GRAFTON/CORAL SPRINGS,FL: Stephen M. Roney, 49, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away November 30, 2017 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is survived by his sons Christian Roney and his fiancé Alex Landing and Cole Roney, stepdaughter Monica Rodriguez, his mother Joyce Morrissey and stepmother Diane Roney, his siblings Edward O’Toole and his wife Michelle, Cheryl Faucher and her husband Keith, Chris Roney and his wife Tina, Tim O’Toole and his wife Erin, and Karen Lanava and her husband Tony, his grandmother Lucille Segur, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his former wife Gael Roney. His father Stephen H. Roney, stepfather Raymond E. Morrissey and grandparents Robert and Edna Roney, Richard Segur and Gertrude and Armand Dauphinais all predeceased him. Steve was born January 26, 1968 in Worcester. His early years were spent in Massachusetts before he moved to Florida where he graduated from high school and spent many years running his own landscaping and lawn service business. Steve had a tireless work ethic and built his business up working primarily on his own. Away from work he was a passionate fan of the Miami Dolphins and NASCAR racing, had a sense of humor that would always make people around him laugh even when they didn’t want to and was always up for a debate on current events. Steve leaves behind a loving family that grieves the loss of a young man with more to give the world around him and those that cared for him, but his life was sadly shortened by the harshness of alcohol abuse. His memory may be honored by an act of kindness or charity to someone in need or to the organization of your choice. Steve’s funeral services and burial in North Grafton were private at the request of his family. A Book of Memories to share a memory of Steve or message of sympathy with his family is available online at:
