Obituary for Susan E. Orczyk

Susan E. Orczyk
Susan (Jasper) Orczyk passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital with her husband and loving family by her side, after a courageous 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. Susan was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late George and Ann Jasper. Her beloved sister Priscilla Siam predeceased her. She was the beloved wife of her soulmate Ronald C Orczyk. Susan met Ronnie at a wedding in 1968 where she caught the bouquet and he the garter. They wed in May 1973 and were married for 44 years, 8 months. She also leaves behind 3 cousins, Lisa Thomas, Laurie Baril, Leslie Barry and a number of nieces and nephews from her husband’s brothers Stanley Richard JR and Paul Gregory, and their respective spouses Lynn and Ellen. She was fond of cats and they were part of her life from day one until she passed. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Whitinsville MA and had a very strong faith. She loved hanging out with her friends, especially Joan McCabe and Theona Taylor, her BFFs. She also had a strong love for her niece Christina and her husband Shawn Barbale. Susan often referred to Chrissy as the daughter she never had. Susan had a love of dancing that began at 3 years old and continued into her twenties. She studied ballet, tap, and modern jazz for fifteen years with the late Honey Fellicetti of Worcester and Stanley Brown of Boston, a very well-known and respected dance instructor throughout the country. She taught at Fellicetti Dance Studio for eight years. She loved the theater and performed and choreographed many plays. She was a member of the Worcester Light Opera Company and appeared in many of their plays. She worked many years as an Administration Assistant to the presidents at Felters and NENSCO both located in Millbury Massachusetts retiring in 2008. She continued to work part-time for a Millbury Attorney until 2016. Susan was a perfectionist in every task she performed from working outside to entertaining. She enjoyed nature, the ocean and mountains, music and the arts, reading, ice skating and skiing. Her hero was Shelly Pollex who is also battling ovarian cancer. Shelly is also the longtime girlfriend of NASCAR champion Martin Truex Jr. The two of them are determined to bring ovarian cancer to submission. Their foundations are supporting their efforts. Susan had a special place in her heart for all animals, and was a generous supporter of animal rescue organizations. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester Street, Grafton MA.
