Obituary for David A. Valanzola
David Albert Valanzola, 72, passed away on January 16, 2024. He leaves his daughter
Ashley Valanzola and her husband Andrew McCann, his grandchildren Lillian and
Rosalie McCann-Valanzola, his former wife Rhonda Valanzola, his sister Diane
Domiano and her husband Joseph Domiano, his sister Debbie Millspaugh, and several
nieces and nephews.
David was born October 6, 1951 in Worcester, MA to parents Orlando Joseph Valanzola
and Aulie Valanzola (Copp). He attended Wachusett Regional High School and
Worcester State College, and later earned his MBA from Anna Maria College.
From 1971-1974, David served as a Repair Parts Specialist in the U.S. Army. He was
stationed in Virginia, Okinawa, and Texas. David married Rhonda Valanzola
(Dauphinais) in June 1980. Professionally, he worked in healthcare, retail, and the
automotive industry.
Throughout his life, David was an avid sports fan. He played basketball when he was
young and competed in bowling for much of his adult life. Outside of sports, David
enjoyed watching science fiction and horror movies, working on his computers, taking
care of cats Jasmine and Sneezy, and tending to his meticulous yard.
Private services will be held for close family. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to honor
David with a donation to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, Donate - Worcester
