GRAFTON: Nicole Akstin, 46, passed away March 28, 2023 at UMass Memorial in Worcester following an illness. She is survived by her mother Dolores (St. Andre) Akstin Ward and father Calvin Akstin, her dear cousin Deb (DeOrsey) Pearson and her husband Bill and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Nicole was born April 15, 1976 in Worcester, MA and was a life long resident of Grafton. From an early age Nicole loved anything fast; her car, snowmobile, motorcycle all were a great joy for her. She graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech’s Auto Tech program and she had hard working hands throughout her life. As her father Calvin would tell you, “As long as she could turn a wrench she was happy”. She also looked forward to trips to Wells Beach, Maine with her mother Dolores.
All are welcome to a Funeral Mass for Nicole Wednesday April 5th at 11:00 at St. James Church 89 Main St. S. Grafton, MA 01560. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Please remember Nicole with a memorial donation in lieu of flowers to the ASPCA at www.ASCPA.org.
